Service 1
Digital video empowering Stakeholder Voice
Area: Strategic / Staffing and leadership

Strength The school has regularly used digital video case study to evidence the views and input of our Stakeholders for SIP and SEF. We have delivered inset on this, at local and regional level. Several papers on this work have been published through iNET.
Service An AHT has a range of case study videos that are available for sharing via visits to the school or inset. These include 'Anti-bullying Strategies,' 'The Star Reward System,' 'Curricular Target Setting,' 'Every Child Matters in our Family Of Schools' and 'Using New Technologies.'
Delivery Examples of ICT based questionnaires and tool kit booklets are e-mailed upon request. Video case studies can be viewed on site and opportunities to meet our students and discuss our work are easily arranged. Our ICT/Learning Mentor teams are also able to offer on site training in a range of research and video editing techniques.

Portable technologies for home school partnership
Area: Learning and Teaching / Home-school links
school: The Dearne High School

Strength The school has experience of loaning a range of portable technologies via contract to students and parents to improve home school partnerships. These include a range of MP4 players- (iPod, iaudio and Creative Zen Vision M,) Ipaq PDA's and Samsung Q1's.
Service An AHT and a team of ICT specialists/Learning Mentors have created a raft of free learning content available for sharing in a range of formats to suit different hand held tools. A case study video and toolkit are available, which outline how we implemented this initiative and what we learnt from it.
Delivery We can e-mail examples of word based revision resources that can be played as text files on video iPods and similar tools. Support and/or training for more advanced techniques and/or organising large scale ICT based learning resourcing can be arranged via a visit to our school.

Self tutoring CDRoms to deliver NCFE Telematics
Area: Learning and Teaching / Independent learning with ICT
school: The Dearne High School
location: Rotherham, YH region
Strength One of our ICT teachers entered 24 students for NCFE Telematics this October 2006. All of the students gained a GCSE A*-C pass and they are only in Y10. The teacher concerned has now produced a self-tutoring CDRom, which enables students to enter for this course on a self, taught basis.
Service The school can offer advice on this new and innovative course and has materials to share.
Delivery Interested parties can e-mail the school, or arrange a visit to talk to staff or students about this project. A self-tutoring CDROM is available for help with implementing this course at your own school
