Drama curriculum overview
The drama department has two teaching areas, a dance / drama studio and a drama studio, both with lighting and sound equipment. Drama is taught as a discrete subject across KS3 and as a BTec in KS4.
KS3
The areas covered in KS3 include improvisation, physical theatre, story telling, Commedia dell ‘Arte, scripted work, mask, drama conventions and theatre-in-education.
KS4
The BTec in drama combines performance work, devised and scripted theatre and an understanding of the business side of the arts.
