Events
The mathematics faculty are involved in lots of events.
We support the NSPCC number day and this year raised over £120. On 14th March we have a Pi Day where students explore Pi across the curriculum – e.g. poems about Pi in English, posters about Pi in art, saying the digits of Pi in French and so on! Our students take part in World Class tests, Intermediate and junior maths challenges.
We organise and deliver enterprise activities within the faculty to support Enterprise days. We organise a partner primary schools maths challenge and a cluster secondary school maths challenge. Our students visit Sheffield Hallam University to take part in maths events.
