Welcome to the Science section
Welcome to Science at The Dearne High School. As the Lead Science Faculty in Barnsley LEA we aim to deliver science to a high standard to support our three-year trend of improving results, whilst motivating and engaging our students through varied and interesting lessons, which incorporate activities to support all types of learners at all abilities.
The Science faculty consists of twelve members of teaching staff with varying experience from NQTs to SLT and two full time lab technicians. We have ten fully-furnished labs, each with its own PC, projector and interactive whiteboard, one computer suite, three labs with banks of PCs and a faculty bank of laptops for use in lessons.
