Welcome to the Technology section

Each student has a year of individual design and manufacturing. Design and manufacturing is made up of four courses Graphic, Textiles, Resistance Material, and Food. At the end of year 9 students may choose the one of the course they would like to do for the next 2 years at G.C.S.E level.

As part of the course students will identify their own project with guidance from their class teacher; compile a detailed design folio; create detailed working drawings and costing; create a detailed plan of manufacture; provide all materials they will need to complete manufacture and then work alongside their class teachers to realise a quality product of recognisable commercial value all within 40 hours of work time!!!
