Teaching & Learning Environment
It is not possible to list our full accommodation and teaching facilities; we hope that parents will take the opportunities provided throughout the year to see for themselves what is available.
The Campus
The school has gone through a number of developments over the years that provides us with a mixture of different styles and types of buildings. A well planned scheme for development, alteration, refurbishment and re-equipping was made possible by the successful move to a single site at Goldthorpe. The Dearne High School’s facilities are the envy of many other schools in the area.
Our programme of development of the teaching and learning environment is an on going process. As we strive to offer pupils the highest standards possible.

- Drama Studios - with stage lighting and sound facilities
- Dance Studios
- Design Technology Suites - including a range of computerised manufacturing equipment
- Business Studies Suite
- Information Technology Suites - with in excess of 230 computer stations
- Swimming Pool
- Indoor Sports Facilities - including sports hall and fitness training suite
- Outdoor Sports Facilities - including an Astroturf pitch
- Learning Zone with access to Internet facilities and many computers
Many of our facilities were built in 1998-99 as part of the single site development.
